The Frozen Star amoung us
Rigellian’s are quadrapeds, by nature, but have adapted to stand on their hind legs much like other quadrapeds like dogs, cats, and horses can sometimes do. They prefer not to do this and quickly revert to all fours when able. Roughly the size of the average male human when upright they appear considerably smaller when on all fours. While their minds are capable of understanding well within galactic norm they tend to have problems interacting socially with bipeds. On top of this their “furry” bodies remind most humans of their own domesticated animals back home, making it hard for humans to think of them as anything but pets, especially dogs who they bear a passing resemblance to. The legs and handlike forepaws are dead giveaways that these are not terrestrial dogs but the association is hard to break.
